Rosemont Elementary's Mission and Vision Statements 2017 - 2018

Vision:
Rosemont Elementary School students will be empowered to reach their fullest potential by participating in authentic tasks that mimic real world experiences.

Mission:
Our mission at Rosemont Elementary School is to promote positive relationships amongst students, staff, community, and families in order to enhance transformational learning experiences for all. Students will actively participate in a culture of learning where differentiation is incorporated to meet the individual needs of all students.

Rosemont Eagles SOAR into the School Year

Young Men Of Promise Boy Club will be meeting on Monday afternoons here at Rosemont. Thanks to New Jerusalem Ministries for partnering with us for this fantastic opportunity for our young men.

Hour of Code: Rosemont Elementary students will be participating in a school-wide hour of coding on December 7, 2017 from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. All grade levels will be coding using various apps, programs, and the code.org website's Hour of Code.

STEM Club: Our STEM Club meets every Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2:40 - 4:20 pm

An afterschool club for our young female students will be starting soon!

Breakfast with Santa, sponsored by our fabulous Rosemont PTA, will be December 15, 2017 More details to come!

We are Digging Deeper at Rosemont Elementary and Constructing New Learning

Rosemont Eagles are born to SOAR: Show Self Control, Be On Task, Act Safely, Be Respectful (our school-wide rules)

Our library is being transformed into a makerspace this year! Students will have the opportunity to create things - hands-on and digitally!

We will be using Schoology school-wide this year so ask your students to show you their Schoology classes!We will be focusing on a positive discipline model this year and rewarding postive behavior.

Chromebooks at Rosemont

Rosemont students in grades 1st - 5th will have a Chromebook to use each day. This will allow teachers to increase personalized learning opportunities for our students. We are looking forward to a tech infused year with our students and staff.

Title 1 Distinguished School

Rosemont Elementary has earned the distinction of being the only K - 5 Title 1 Distinguished school for the 2nd year in a row. Dr. Spence visited Rosemont to congratulate staff and students for their outstanding achievement. Dr. Spence visited many classroom and saw students engaged in authentic learning.

Students are thinking about being good digital citizens.  Pictures of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students holding iPads and Chromebooks.
5th grade students introduce DASH robots to kindergarten students at Rosemont Elementary School.
Students in Ms. Clark's 3rd grade class are beginning the Makeawave Kindness Journey with founder Kevin Kirk and students in Mrs. Hollaran's PreK class are using Joy strategies to determine their mindset for the day.
